AI Grid Agent Dashboards

What are Dashboards?

Dashboards in AI Grid Agents are interactive visual analytics interfaces that transform your grid data into meaningful visualizations and insights. Think of them as customizable control centers where you can create, arrange, and monitor various types of data cards to track key metrics, visualize trends, and analyze your agent's performance in real-time.

Examples of Use Cases

Use CaseDescription
Portfolio Company PerformanceCreate unified dashboards showing revenue growth, EBITDA margins, and operational KPIs across all portfolio companies
Due Diligence TrackingVisualize completion status of legal, financial, and operational due diligence across multiple deals
AnalyticsGenerate market analysis charts, competitor comparisons, and valuation multiples automatically from your research data
Market IntelligenceMonitor sector trends, M&A activity, and capital markets conditions to identify new business opportunities
Risk DashboardReal-time monitoring of portfolio VaR, sector concentration, and correlation matrices across holdings
Performance AttributionBreak down portfolio returns by sector, geography, and individual security contribution
ESG Compliance TrackingMonitor ESG scores, sustainability metrics, and regulatory compliance across investments
Market Regime AnalysisIdentify market cycles, volatility patterns, and optimal rebalancing triggers
Sector Deep DivesCreate comprehensive industry analysis dashboards with key metrics, growth drivers, and competitive positioning
Company Financial HealthBuild automated financial statement analysis with trend identification and peer benchmarking
Credit AnalysisMonitor credit spreads, default probabilities, and covenant compliance across bond portfolios
Macroeconomic IndicatorsTrack leading economic indicators, central bank policies, and their impact on investment themes
Save Time

Instead of spending hours in Excel creating charts for client presentations or investment committee meetings, simply create a card to perform advanced analytics based on the results of the Grid.

How to Create Cards

Method 1: Manual Card Creation

  1. Click the "Create" button (+ icon) in the dashboard header
  2. The Card Editor modal will open
  3. Configure your new card:
SettingDescription
Basic InformationEnter title and select card type
Data SourceChoose where the card gets its data
Visualization SettingsConfigure specific options based on card type
AI PromptWrite the AI prompt that will generate the card's data
LLM SelectionChoose which AI model to use for processing

Method 2: Dashboard Templates

  1. Click the Templates button (grid icon) in the dashboard header
  2. Browse available templates:
    • Analytics Overview - Complete analytics with metrics, charts, and performance indicators
    • Monitoring Dashboard - Real-time monitoring with gauges and system health
    • Reporting Suite - Comprehensive reporting with tables and detailed analytics
  3. Select a template and click Apply
  4. Template cards will be automatically positioned on your dashboard

Types of Dashboard Cards

1. Metric Cards

Purpose: Display single key performance indicators (KPIs)

Best For: Completion rates, scores, counts, percentages

2. Chart Cards

Purpose: Visualize data trends and relationships

Chart Types Available:

  • Line Charts - Show trends over time
  • Bar Charts - Compare values across categories
  • Pie Charts - Display proportional data
  • Area Charts - Filled line charts, great for financial data
  • Scatter Charts - Show correlations between variables

Best For: Performance trends, comparisons, time-series data

3. Table Cards

Purpose: Display structured data in rows and columns

Best For: Detailed records, task lists, structured data review

4. Heatmap Cards

Purpose: Visualize data density and patterns through color intensity

Best For: Activity patterns, correlation matrices

5. Gauge Cards

Purpose: Show progress or levels within a defined range

Best For: Monitoring, completion percentages, performance scores

6. Distribution Cards

Purpose: Show how data is distributed across different categories

Best For: Task type breakdowns, category analysis, demographic data

7. Plain Text Cards

Purpose: Display formatted text content, analysis results, or AI-generated insights

Best For: AI analysis results, summaries, detailed reports, formatted documentation

Edit Mode Features

When you activate edit mode (click the pencil icon), several features become available:

FeatureDescription
Grid BackgroundVisual grid helps with card alignment
Drag and DropClick and drag cards to reposition them anywhere on the canvas
Resize HandlesCorner handles allow you to resize cards (prevents overlapping)
Extended CanvasCards can be positioned beyond the visible area (use scrollbars to access)
Draft Mode WarningYellow warning banner indicates dashboard is in edit mode and agent cannot run
Collision DetectionAutomatic prevention of card overlaps during resizing

How Dashboard Cards Work

  1. Prompt Execution - Each card has an AI prompt that defines what data to analyze
  2. LLM Processing - The selected language model processes your grid data according to the prompt
  3. Data Transformation - Raw results are transformed into the appropriate format for the card type
  4. Visualization - The card renders the processed data according to its specific visualization rules
  5. Real-time Updates - Cards can be re-run individually or collectively to refresh data

Troubleshooting Common Issues

Cards Not Loading Data

  • Check that your AI prompt is clear and specific
  • Verify that the columns of the Grid contain the expected data

Layout Problems

  • Use edit mode to manually reposition overlapping cards
  • Resize cards that are too large for their content
  • Check that cards aren't positioned outside the visible area

Performance Issues

  • Avoid running too many cards simultaneously
  • Check for cards with overly complex prompts
  • Monitor for cards stuck in processing state

Error Recovery

  • Try re-running failed cards with simplified prompts
  • Check agent data quality and availability

Dashboard functionality provides a powerful way to transform your AI Grid Agent data into actionable insights through flexible, interactive visualizations. Whether you're tracking performance metrics, analyzing trends, or monitoring, the dashboard system adapts to your specific needs while maintaining ease of use and powerful analytical capabilities.
