Start from a Routine template

Templates give Marc a ready-to-use path for common work. Choose one, connect the required context, and adapt the available settings.

Add a template

  1. Open Routines.
  2. Select Explore templates.
  3. Open a template to review its purpose, trigger, expected output, and required connections.
  4. Connect at least one supported work source when the template requires it.
  5. Select Add routine.
  6. Complete any required settings and enable the Routine when it is ready.

Templates that use email can work with supported Gmail or Microsoft 365 connections. Calendar and file templates offer the corresponding Google or Microsoft sources when available. You do not need to connect both ecosystems.

Template examples

The templates available to you depend on your workspace and connected apps. Examples include:

TemplatePrepared work
Lampi Inbox triageClassifies incoming email and surfaces follow-up work for review.
CIM ReviewReviews a new CIM against your firm and investment thesis.
Company One PagerTurns a qualified company email into a concise, sourced one-pager.
Meeting BriefingPrepares context for relevant upcoming meetings.
Morning BriefingSummarizes the day's agenda, inbox priorities, deadlines, and tracked topics.
Weekly BriefingPreviews the week ahead and highlights work that needs attention.
Weekly Sector News BriefingPrepares a sourced update for a selected sector and geography.
Competitive Intelligence BriefMonitors competitors and prepares a sourced briefing on material developments.
Daily Call Follow-UpReviews relevant call notes and prepares follow-up work.
Weekly Newsletter DigestCompiles a sourced digest from approved newsletter messages.

Adapt a template with Marc

After adding a template, open the Routine and select Edit with AI. Describe the change in plain language, for example:

Change this Routine to run every weekday at 7:30 AM.
Keep the same output, but focus the briefing on meetings, deal activity,
and emails that need a reply.

You can also use the Settings tab for the options exposed by that template.

Some built-in templates keep their core work method fixed so they remain predictable. Their available sources, schedules, preferences, and delivery options can still be adjusted when those settings are offered.

When a connection is missing

The template shows which connected app it needs. Select the connection action, authorize the relevant account, then return to the template gallery. Only the approved account and sources are available to the Routine.

Not every connection can start every template. The gallery shows the choices supported for each Routine in your workspace.
