Keep Living Work Memory current
Connect it once. Let useful context stay current.
The Living Memory Routine keeps work memory up to date from the connected sources you approve. Once it is enabled and configured, relevant new activity can update the right memory topics without waiting for you to start another conversation.
What the Living Memory Routine does
The Routine looks for useful changes in its approved work sources and connects them to the right company, person, project, deal, or work topic.
Depending on the connections available in your workspace, this can include:
- new or updated emails;
- calendar and meeting changes;
- meeting summaries or transcripts;
- new or updated files;
- relevant messaging activity;
- CRM and other connected work updates where available.
Not every new item changes memory. Marc focuses on information that is useful for future work, such as a confirmed decision, a changed priority, a new risk, an open question, or meaningful project progress.
Set up the Living Memory Routine
- Open Routines and look for Living Memory under My Routines.
- If it is not already installed, select Explore templates, choose Living Memory, and add it to your workspace.
- Open the Routine and select the connected sources it may use.
- Review the available triggers and enable the ones that match how your team works.
- Enable the Routine when you are ready for it to keep memory current.
The source and trigger choices shown in the Routine depend on the connections available in your workspace. Connecting an app does not automatically give the Routine access to every account or every type of activity.
How continuous updates work
1. Choose the approved sources
Select the connected work sources the Living Memory Routine is allowed to use. Available sources depend on your workspace and its connections.
2. Enable the Routine
Once enabled, the Routine can respond to supported activity from those sources. It continues to work even when you are not actively chatting with Marc.
3. Marc connects useful context
Marc identifies the topic affected by the new information and updates the existing understanding when the change is clear and relevant.
4. The next assignment starts with current context
Marc and memory-enabled agents can use the updated history in later conversations, Routines, and assignments.
Start or refresh it yourself
You can also run the Living Memory Routine when you want Marc to review connected context immediately. When starting a refresh, choose the source categories and the amount of recent history Marc should consider.
This is useful after connecting a new work source, returning to an active project, or preparing for a period of recurring work.
Designed to avoid noisy memory
Living Work Memory does not need to save every signal. Repeated, outdated, unclear, or unrelated information can be left out. When a possible update needs your judgment, Marc can keep it for review instead of treating it as established context.
Your corrections take priority. If a decision changes or Marc carries forward something inaccurate, edit the relevant memory topic so future assignments use the corrected context.
Pause updates without deleting memory
Disabling the Living Memory Routine stops its continuous updates. Your existing memory remains available unless you edit or delete it separately.
Disabling AI memory in Settings is different: Lampi will no longer learn or use remembered context between conversations while that setting is off.
