AI Chat in AI Grid Agents

The AI Chat is an interactive feature built into every AI Grid Agent that provides two distinct modes: Chat Mode for analyzing results, and Edit Mode for modifying your agent. The agent can understand your grid data, help you interpret results, and assist in expanding your agent's capabilities.

Accessing the AI Chat​

To open the AI Chat:

  1. Navigate to your AI Grid Agent - Open any agent you've created
  2. Click the "AI Chat" button - Located in the top-left area of the agent interface
  3. The chat panel opens - A slide-out panel appears on the right side of your screen

Chat Mode - Analyze Results​

Purpose: Interact with and analyze the data and results within your grid

Best For:

  • Analyzing existing data in your grid
  • Getting insights from completed agent runs
  • Understanding trends and patterns
  • Summarizing results and findings
Clickable Citations

AI responses include clickable references to grid cells, making it easy to verify and navigate to specific data points.

Example Use Cases:

  • "Can you explain this analysis?"
  • "What are the main trends in the revenue column?"
  • "Summarize the key findings from this data"
  • "Which companies have the highest growth rates?"

Edit Mode - Modify Agent Structure​

Purpose: Modify your agent's structure, add columns, and enhance capabilities

Best For:

  • Adding new columns and questions
  • Removing unnecessary elements
  • Restructuring your agent
  • Creating additional functionality

Example Use Cases:

  • "Add a new column for market analysis"
  • "Remove the industry column"
  • "Create a question about competitive analysis"
  • "Add web search capabilities to the pricing column"

Best Practices​

For Chat Mode​

  • Be Specific - Ask about particular columns, rows, or data points
  • Use Context - Reference visible data in your questions
  • Request Examples - Ask for specific examples from your data

For Edit Mode​

  • Clear Instructions - Specify exactly what you want to change
  • Use Examples - Give examples of desired column types or formats
  • Precise Sources - Mention if changes should use web data or files
